Challenge or Change?

As we observe the current world conditions and the effect it has on everyone no matter where they live or what they do, we repeatedly see people, businesses and other organizations and institutions trying to make sure they have what they want. Only that. They are not overly affected by what happens to others unless it also affects themselves.
It's understandable, survival is becoming a critical concern; for some a "now" concern for others a "future" concern but most everyone (and everything) is concerned about being able to survive.
This focus is what enables humans to excel in creating and sustaining technology, information, and innovation, among other things. However, this focus has been skewed by the ever-growing desire for material wealth and power. We have reached a stage where we no longer appreciate and respect reality without altering, controlling, destroying, or manipulating it to fit our preferences and expectations of what "Should Be."
Take a look around; this is evident in politics, religion, social media, and advertising. The constant message is that having enough is insufficient. The idea that "more is better" is the goal. We are told not to be "satisfied" or "content" (often equated with laziness) and instead to strive, struggle, resist, and never accept no for an answer.
The outcome is a world filled with discontented, dissatisfied, type A individuals desperately trying to reach a place where they can feel satisfied and content. This is the essence of insanity.
Consider challenging yourself in a different way.
Try acceptance. Only that.
Allow things to be. Accept what is instead of struggling. Allow that we do not have all the answers nor are we supposed to. Life is about new experiences (good and bad). It's about evolution and change which do not happen in a vacuum.
Observe how we prefer to judge; people and experiences. Consider how our egos prefer to create drama and reside in the three Denials: pride, shame and fear rather than accept what is.
Allow yourself to review your preferences to resist rather than surrender. Honor how we become disappointed when our expectations are not met and our preferences are denied.
After all, change is not possible until we can honestly, openly and unemotionally accept what is. Only then is change possible.
Be the change you Seek
